Well when asking Legacy Players what the best combo deck in the format was, the two CLEAR favorites were...
Breakfast
Tes
HUGE break
Ichorid
Everyone agree's that Breakfast is the best combo deck in Legacy right now. So i though i would bring it up. It destroys thresh, and is amazing against almost any deck.
Matchups
Deadguy and is tough
Goblins is a joke
Threshold I don't think is too bad considering Vial and the speed of the deck.
Other combo is a joke
Affinity is a joke
Landstill isn't too bad for the same reasons as Threshold plus Landstill is slower and has less search to find its hate.

After that there was an interesting article in SCG are not as optimist as you about the MU Tresh vs Cephalid breakfast.
There is an evolution since ?

Thresh is leaning away from both White and Red, and Black Thresh is a great matchup, as Confidant, and thoughtsieze are both good for you, compared to StP and Fire/Ice

reading you, you say
"combo is a joke, gob too, landstill and thresh good MU"
so i don't know any deck unbeatable, so what's your worst MU? (if you have any

but according to you it's certainly the best combo deck with ichorid for the time

With the following changes :
-3 lim-dul
-1 stern proctor
-2 abeyance (but 4 in SB)
+4 ponder
+2 eladamri's call.
This deck is truly powerful but i suffered a lot against
grave hate : tormod, leyline, extirpate and so on..
Isn't it a problem in your metagame ?

43 Lands can be almost impossible to win if they get a Maze of Ith down, and have the man lands to power past your goyfs.
The decks dosn't really have bad match-ups, it has bad cards. Kinda like Ichorid in Extended. You don't like seeing Leyline + fast clock, or any other grave hate, and a fast clock (except crypt, abeyance FTW)

You're also never really happy to face thresh. They have tons of counters, play some pieces of removal, and current lists often play Thoughtseize, Stifle + Waste, Countertop and/or Burning-Tree Shaman. I'd say overall thresh is 50/50.

It's hard to find abeyance, while not getting burned out. Although you are right, abeyance is a MUST to win this
Elmi, le Dimanche 23 Décembre 2007 à 00:15, dit :
Also true, but they also have Glasic Chasm, Abeyance is very good, but must be found, before the wasteland lock hits. They tend to just waste your white lands.
Elmi, le Dimanche 23 Décembre 2007 à 00:15, dit :
Counterbalance is easy if you can drop a vial. Otherwise your right.

AEther Vial much? This is the sole reason it's run, it is AMAZING!

Certes POX est peu voir pas du tout joué mais bon si le MU est favorable pour POX et que Cephalid Breakfast continue à être joué, moi vais bien être content avec mon POX sous la main

People usually don't play combo because they feel it's shaky, but in every tournament I see, there are about 5% of the field playing combo, and about 20% of combo in top8, even though there are a lot of "Pikula-like" decks and Thresh decks in my meta. Think about it
