Recently (well, more or less) we have taken off the article's "average price" on MKM and have replaced it with the current "price trend". We'd like to shortly explain why we made this change and how we do calculate the new price:
The old "average price" had an inherent problem, because it really was the average price of all offers for any article. That means, the price was also including very high priced cards (like altered or korean cards) and was thus much higher than the price that people really paid. Furthermore by being the arithmetic average price, you could easily "manipulate" it by putting a card with an extremely high price for sale. We thus wanted a "more realistic" and less easy to manipulate price.
Thus: the price trend. The value is the end of the linear regression curve for the selling price of the last 30 days (that's the end of the black line in the price graph). Thus, this only takes into account the card price of copies that were ACTUALLY SOLD and not just listed for sale, and it takes into account the recent trend. So this is a much more realistic price than the average price.
Je suis donc content d'avoir enfin une donnée réaliste.
C'est dommage de ne toujours pas avoir accès à la liste de tous les deals réalisés (pour calculer un prix en référence à un volume de vente).
