Hi everyone! I inherited a Moulinex Masterchef 750 food processor. It looks indestructible, a real old-school classic, but age has taken its toll—it stopped turning on. It was still working yesterday, but today when I turn the knob, there’s complete silence; not even the motor hums. Anyone familiar with this model, please advise where to start troubleshooting? I’ve already checked the outlet and the cord—everything’s fine there. I’ve heard that it has a very finicky safety system: if the lid or bowl isn’t snapped into place perfectly, it won’t start. But everything seems to be seated tightly.

Maybe there’s some kind of hidden fuse inside that blows often? And another question about disassembly: how do I remove the bottom cover without breaking anything? Are there some tricky screws or just clips? I don’t want to force the plastic apart. If anyone has had this “old-timer” break down and successfully fixed it—please share your experience on what to look for first in the schematics or mechanics.

Look, at first glance everything might seem fine, but it might not be completely airtight yet; the main thing is that you don’t have to remove and reapply the silicone seals. I did this with my meat grinder because the internal adhesive had come loose slightly, and the motor wouldn’t start—it’s an electric one… You can try to identify the problem using the service manual for Moulinex Masterchef 750; it describes the disassembly and assembly process in detail since the manual is used in service centers and was written by engineers. But don’t worry—despite that, the explanations are very accessible. I don’t have a technical degree, and as a regular amateur, I understood everything.
