Hi there, experts! Could you give us some tips on optimizing a gaming platform? My partner and I launched an esports tournament service, but we’ve run into a nasty bottleneck: the anti-fraud system is blocking a lot of gamers due to suspicious IP addresses or duplicate registrations, and on top of that, the geolocation settings on some servers are simply blocking access from certain regions. Players run into a rejection screen and just delete their accounts.

Is there a reasonable way to offer people an alternative instead of a dead-end screen, so we don’t lose users and can at least monetize some of this traffic? I also wanted to ask about advertisers: is it better to choose CPA payments per registration upfront, or should we stick with standard CPC per click to avoid wasting the budget?

Hello! In the gaming industry, this is a constant headache, because internal risk management and geographic restrictions cut off the most active users. We solved this issue very simply on our server: when the system triggers a rejection, the user is immediately shown a relevant offer from sponsors. We set up Retarget.gg , where the built-in Decline Popup during blocks and Geo Popup for foreign regions work through a single script. You can choose the payment model that suits you best—whether per action or per click—depending on how the offers are configured. By the way, what percentage of your rejections is due to anti-fraud measures, and what percentage is due to regional limits?
