C'est pas super gênant pour les MP, c'est un peu plus embêtant pour les nouvelles inscriptions que l'on doit valider manuellement. On met nos meilleurs éléments là dessus mais comme toujours le temps est une denrée rare donc ça n'avance pas aussi vite qu'on aimerait.

Le Legacy en France :

Le BAC 2014 s'est déroulé il y a quelques jours, félicitations à Sakimmd et Lejay qui ont dominé le tournoi avec BUG Shardless.
Un grand merci à l'organisatrice, dommage que ce soit le dernier car c'était un des tournois majeurs du paysage Legacy français (après le BOM et la finale de la CDF).

Et puisque l'on en parle, la finale de la CDF aura lieu à Toulouse le samedi 4 et le dimanche 5 octobre. Les lots sont à la hauteur de l'événement, bonne chance à tous les qualifiés qui vont faire le déplacement. Toutes les infos ici: http://www.legacy-fr...showtopic=12008

La dernière bonne nouvelle est arrivée au début du mois d'août, c'est l'annonce de l'organisation en France d'un GP Legacy pour la troisième année consécutive ! Après Strasbourg et Paris, c'est Lille qui a été choisie pour ce tournoi d'envergure qui se déroulera les 4 et 5 juillets 2015 (oui c'est dans longtemps, mais il faut se préparer). J'espère qu'en 2016 il feront ça à Nice, ce serait quand même plus agréable .

Bon la contrepartie de ce GP c'est que du coup la tenue du BOM Annecy au mois de mai est fortement compromise. La raison est simple, Bazaar of Moxen organise 4 GP l'année prochaine (Cracovie, Lyon, Paris et Lille) donc il ne pourront pas tout faire en même temps. Affaire à suivre...

Lecture de vos doléances

Vous l'avez sans doute remarqué, le contenu sur LF depuis Juillet dernier a fortement diminué. Plusieurs explications sont mises en avant dans vos topics "Doléances", mais qu'en est-il vraiment?

Nous sommes pour la transparence, donc allons-y.
La période d'été est une période assez creuse dans les agendas MTG pour plusieurs raisons évidentes que sont les vacances scolaires, le soleil qui pointe enfin le bout de son nez, les salles sans climatisation, la hausse du prix du déodorant, etc.
Durant l'été dernier a eu lieu publiquement sur LF une altercation maladroite entre les propriétaires du site et les acteurs du site (l'équipe d'administration) suite à des dérapages de certains membres qui dénonçaient sur la place publique une autre enseigne de l'univers MTG et qui n'ont pas été modérés à temps par l'équipe en place, ce qui a conduit à mettre dans une position très inconfortable les propriétaires du site.
(Ndlr : Désormais tout va bien, la faute a été reconnue par les deux parties prenantes).
Malgré un possible retour à la normale, le mal était fait : l'équipe était frustrée et démotivée.

Je tiens ici à souligner l'importance du travail qui a été fourni de manière bénévole par la nouvelle équipe en place de février à juillet 2013 : une nouvelle charte de la zone échanges la rendant bien plus performante, un assainissement des débats dans la partie stratégique, une gestion ferme et juste de plusieurs grands débordements qui ne méritent d'être rappelés ici (les bannis s'en souviennent), le premier tournoi online made in LF qui a sacré Flutiau, une remise aux normes de la section réservée aux questions de règles, etc.

Et je pense que les différents topics de doléances lancés depuis quelques semaines montrent à quel point le site peut dériver quand les modérateurs ne donnent plus bénévolement quelques heures par semaine pour animer et modérer les différents topics.
La bonne nouvelle est que nous avons lu avec beaucoup d'attentions vos posts et nous y avons découvert une réelle envie de la part des membres de voir LF revenir plus grand et fort qu'avant, et des pistes d'amélioration intéressantes… nous permettant ainsi de retrouver l'envie de redynamiser notre site favori.

Orientation future

Les objectifs de LF sont multiples :

• Permettre la promotion du format Legacy en France en mettant à disposition de chacun une vision large mais claire du format,

• Tirer vers le haut le niveau moyen des joueurs de Legacy francophones en mettant à disposition des discussions stratégiques,

• Aider l'ensemble des joueurs attirés par le format à progresser,

• Permettre à une communauté de passionnés  de MTG d'échanger sur leur format favori et bien plus encore…

La structure actuelle du site est trop restrictive en l'état car l'application de la charte dans la partie "Le gauntlet legacy" empêche aux nouveaux de poster librement sans se faire "basher" par les utilisateurs plus chevronnés.
Le souci étant que beaucoup de nouveaux joueurs consomment sur les forums comme dans la vie : "qui peut me donner la meilleure deck list actuelle pour mono R kobold avec les tables de side contre tous les decks du gauntlet svp?", et que beaucoup d' "anciens joueurs" ont perdu toute pédagogie (voir humanité pour certains pingouins )…

La meilleure solution vient de vous et est effective dès maintenant, chaque deck du gauntlet a désormais son sous-forum  qui regroupe 3+ topics :

• Primer

• Débats / Questions

• Reports

Ces trois parties seront modérées de la même manière au niveau de la forme, des remarques seront faites quant à l'orthographe et à la qualité du post.
Sur la partie primer, les débats stratégiques seront volontairement à tirer vers le haut, aussi la modération y sera plus stricte qu'ailleurs. Tout post ne correspondant pas à la charte sera purement et simplement "phased out" (liste sans explication, post sans fond, questions alors que la réponse se trouve dans le primer, etc.)
Sur la partie questions, j'invite tous les lecteurs de LF à poster sans peur, tout le monde a débuté et si la forme y est, toute question est bonne à poser !
La partie reports permettra de centraliser l'ensemble des reports d'un même deck afin de permettre d'y lancer des débats de fond !

La quantité de topics va donc drastiquement augmenter et nous espérons que le nombre de posts va aller dans le même sens.
Aussi, nous devons nous donner les moyens de nos ambitions.

Dans cette volonté de dynamisme, nous allons reprendre un rythme de communication "formelle" via cette newsletter de manière trimestrielle (un mois après chaque sortie d'extension - pas fous les gars hein?).
De plus, avec un désir non feint de réaliser un petit teasing : un article par mois de contenu stratégique ! La fréquence pouvant être revue à la hausse selon l'accueil reçu par ces articles et la disponibilité des rédacteurs évidemment !

Les autres points importants que nous avons noté via vos doléances sont l'ouverture de LF au nouveau format en vogue qu'est le modern et l'apparition d'une section mtgo.
Les différents débats autour de ces deux thèmes nous amènent aux même conclusions. Tout le monde n'en veut pas ou n'y voit pas forcément un intérêt. Nous savons que nous faisons des déçus avec cette décision mais à date, nous pensons qu'il faut à minima repousser ces nouvelles idées de quelques mois (au pire, les abandonner) le temps de remettre à flot le navire légaçien qui nous tient particulièrement à cœur. Spoiler alert : nous travaillons sur un twitchtv dédié en ce moment même .
Cependant, nous avons creusé ces différents points et avons déjà des idées pour lancer tout cela. Nous manquons néanmoins pour l'instant de "sachants"  avec un temps de disponibilité élevé permettant de lancer cela dans de bonnes conditions.

Un coup d'oeil sur métagame pré-BoM Annecy 2016




Le BoM Annecy approche et il est sans doute temps pour un bon nombre d’entre vous de réfléchir à vos ajustements de side, ou pire à ce que vous allez jouer. Si vous en êtes là, il est fort possible que cette petite revue du métagame vous intéresse.

Une innovation, plein de conséquences

Les deux derniers mois ont surtout été marqués par le raz de marée gélatineux « Eldrazi », notamment sur MtgOnline (10%, source Mtg top8) mais également IRL (8%). Après un pic d’Eldrazi en mars (j’ai parfois l’impression de présenter la météo), depuis quelques semaines il y a dans l’air comme un léger recul des spaghettis (9% ces deux dernières semaines, et ça semble encore décliner cette dernière semaine). C’est un effet assez courant dans l’innovation et dans Magic lorsqu’un nouveau deck apparaît. On peut illustrer ce « modèle » de diffusion d’un nouveau deck (occurrences) en fonction du temps de cette façon :

MtgOnline est généralement leader dans l’innovation, car jouissant d’une facilité d’accès pour les cartes (c’est instantané) et d’une communauté de joueurs assidus et souvent pro, au fait des dernières innovations. L’IRL suit doucement, du fait de la latence à acquérir les cartes en vrai (délais postaux, coûts plus élevés) et d’une communauté plus hétéroclite et par conséquent incluant plus de joueurs casual, moins au courant des innovations et moins disposés à investir dans Magic.

Une fois le « buzz » de l’innovation passé, trois options se présentent :

• soit le deck est fort, mais pas tant que ça, il est alors doucement abandonné par certains joueurs (à déclin progressif vers une stabilisation autour de son « vrai niveau »)

• soit le deck est en effet vraiment fort,  il est massivement joué mais aussi massivement haté, ce qui le rend un peu moins intéressant à jouer (léger déclin, tant que la hate est forte, puis jeu du chat et de la souris entre la hate et le retour du jeu).

• soit (et ça ne semble pas être le cas ici), le deck est extrêmement fort au point que même la hate n’arrive pas à le réguler (constante progression, clivage du métagame entre ce jeu et les hater, ban imminent).

Pour moi nous sommes avec Eldrazi dans une situation mixte, entre l’option 1 et 2. Le jeu est fort, mais pas tant que ça, avec un effet « buzz » qui l’a rendu tellement visible (aussi parce qu’on était dans un creux innovant en Legacy), qu’il a commencé à être très attendu et haté (en témoigne des listes de Miracle avec Loam/Waste main deck). Nous arrivons donc à mon avis à un point de léger déclin d’Eldrazi, du moins temps que la hate tient.

Du Buzz au ré-équilibrage



Cette phase de transition du métagame (du deck novateur à ses haters) est très intéressante, et certains semblent mieux s’en tirer que d’autres :

• Shardless, fraîchement déterré par le ban de Dig T. Time, semble en effet tirer son épingle du jeu face à Eldrazi (9% ce dernier mois). Wasteland/Tarmo/Decay, trois cartes solide pour ce match’up.

• Les jeux Denial, avec Grixis Delver qui se maintient et semble aussi bien armés pour lutter, mais également Death&Taxes (3% ces deux derniers mois, 6% ces deux dernières semaines), capable de lutter au sol contre Eldrazi et de gagner facilement via le duo Wasteland/Port Rishdan. Mention spéciale également à UR-Delver-Price-of-Progress (2% ces deux derniers mois, 4% ces deux dernières semaines) qui n’aime pas tellement Calice, mais dispose de sérieux arguments pour headshot Eldrazi avec PoP.

• Miracle, aussi étonnant que cela puisse paraître, garde la tête haute (13% ces deux derniers mois, 22% ces deux dernières semaines !). Le deck, qui à la base n’a pas un bon match’up contre Eldrazi, semble pouvoir s’adapter indéfiniment. L’inclusion d’Explosifs Artificiels main-deck (mieux que Council pour lutter contre Calice et aggro-Swarm) et d’un plan de jeu contrôle renforcé (4 Terminus, 2 Entreat) semble être gagnant.

• On voit aussi depuis quelques semaines (et là ce n’est que mon avis personnel) revenir timidement les combos all-in, capable de gagner t1-2, du type Reanimator (sous toutes ses formes). Toujours en avis personnel, Reanimator semble d’ailleurs être un bon choix, dans un méta Eldrazi (même si les nouvelles versions white rééquilibrent le match'up) et Miracle (qui n’a pas à un très bon match'up contre Réa).

La suite…

Difficile à dire. Je vous donne quand même mon hypothèse.
Eldrazi va sans doute continuer à décroître doucement sur MtgOnline, en se stabilisant sur une place de tiers 1-2, façon Calice deck à variance, en remplacement de Mud (et en mieux). IRL, le décalage avec MtgOnline risque de continuer, et il n’est pas impossible que le pic soit atteint dans les prochains mois/semaines.

Miracle, annoncé comme très affaibli (comme souvent) avec l’explosion d’Eldrazi, est pourtant toujours bien là, et semble même avoir profité de ce léger anonymat pour truster les top 8 plus en force que jamais. Cependant, Shardless et speed-combo ne sont pas dupes et devraient tacler Miracle dans la surface.

Les decks à suivre ces prochains jours à mon avis :
- UR-Burn (pour sa vélocité et ses PoP)
- Tempo-Tarmo (pour le duo Waste/Tarmo)
- Speed-Combo/Réa (pour ses bons match’up Eldrazi/Miracle/Shardless)
- Shardless (pour son edge sur Eldrazi/Miracle)

Quel contenu ? Quelle modération ?
On va essayer de garder la même structure que pour le Legacy (mais en plus simple). Vous allez donc trouver une section Gauntlet qui regroupera les decks majeurs du Modern (avec une modération stricte), et une section pour les autres decks (avec une modération un peu plus souple). A la différence du Legacy, vous serez libre de créer de nouveaux topics dans cette section pour parler de vos decks.

On va garder ça dans un premier temps et regarder ce qui s'y passe, quitte à modifier ce modèle si l'on juge que c'est nécessaire.
